Reasons for casting?

Samantha had the right skills for the part of Faith, and had the appropriate features for the character, such as white with dark hair and blue eyes. She also was able to portray the part of a young adult aged 20, and take on the mature challenges that her character faces when auditioning for the role, with the right emotion in mind, which was one of the most important requirements for my cast. Furthermore, Sam was a first choice because she has past experience in acting, which means she’ll be easy to work with on set and follow directions to a satisfactory standard.

Name:  Michael Douglas

Gender:  Male

Reasons for casting? 

Michael was given the part of Luke as he had the correct requirements for the role, in features, height and weight. This role was particular as I had to have an actor that appeared to be an average build for a young man, however could convince an audience that he is a danger when playing the role of an abuser. Michael particularly had the skills required to appear aggressive and as a threat when in character, using his face and most importantly, his eye contact. He was able to do this and also tap into the role of the loving boyfriend, as seen in the beginning of my sequence. These factors lead to the casting of Michael, and I look forward to working with him on set.
